Albion went down 6-1 to local rivals Kinsale in a friendly at Madden Park last night. The visitors were 4-1 down at the break after first conceding in the 5th minute. Tim Harrington then pulled one back with an indirect free kick in the 9th minute. Albion then conceded 3 goals in 14 minutes going into the break, 2 of which were very avoidable.
Kinsale pressed on in the second half, scoring another 2, 1 of which was an unfortunate own goal. Albion hit back late on with a header from Aaron O’Sullivan who was deemed offside, though it looked like a clean enough goal. Some decisions going against the Albion didn’t help on a frustrating night in Kinsale.
