Albion 3-1 Macroom

Albion continued their fine form with their 4th win in 5 games to keep them near the top of division 2. Macroom started the game stronger than the home side but never looked like threatening the goal mouth. A strong wind was dictating play on both sides, though the breakthrough came from a fine ball over the top from Deccy Murray. Ben Dillon latched on to the pass and finished superbly with a left footed strike that hit the inside of the post and went in. Macroom were back in it with a great finish from a free kick on the edge of the box. 1-1 half time.

Albion started the second half well and scored two goals in quick succession. First it was Tim Harrington with a lovely chip over the keeper after Darren Daly hit through a perfect pass for the assist. Then Ben Dillon made it 4 in 2 games. A mix up at the back saw Dillon race to the ball first leaving the keeper to scramble across the goal line but the finish was too good. Albion spent the rest of the game holding their lead with a very good defensive display. 3-1 full time.
