Albion 6-0 Banteer

Albion made it 3 wins from 4 after a convincing display against CFC Banteer today. The home side would have felt unlucky to have been at 0-0 after 25 mins after an abundance of chances went by without success. Tim, Dan, Jamie & Ben all going close. Banteer weren’t creating much going forward leaving Conor and Colm to clean everything up behind them. Albion went 1-0 up after a ball from the back broke to Martin who passed to Ben, Ben played the ball to Tim who rounded one player and shot a lovely strike passed the Banteer keeper. 7 minutes later Ben had Albion 2-0 up after a ball over the top from Tim.

Banteer started the second half well, though still not making Walshy worry. Albion had to wait for the 70th minute when Tim applied the pressure at the top leaving the ball run to Japs who cooly slotted the ball in to make it 3-0. Troy Dillon was introduced with 15 minutes remaining and made an immediate impact with a lovely headed flick on to his brother Ben who shot passed the keeper to make it 4-0. Troy himself then got on the scoreboard with a nice low finish to the left. Then he got his 2nd with a lovely assist from Dan Gal, Troy ran through and flicked the ball passed the on coming keeper.

A great result before the 2 week break in fixtures which leaves Albion 2nd in the league.
