Albion added to Blackpools relegation woes today with a convincing 3-1 home win. The win was the last game in Ballinadee for the season and keeps Albion 4th in the table with 2 games to go. Albion looked sharp off the blocks and were 1-0 up in the opening ten minutes with neat work from Conor & Martin on the left, who swung a cross for Tim after making a great run through to finish with his 25th of the season. Albion went 2-0 up with a solo effort from Rob Daly who rounded the keeper to get his 2nd in 2. Tim was linking well with both flanks and it showed. Albion bossed midfield with Martin holding allowing James and Dan to go forward. Darren was showing alot of promise at right full being helped on by Colm Ger and Conor who all were having a very solid half. Albion almost made it 3 when Martin hit the post and Rob Daly was unfortunate with the rebound.
Albion went 3-0 up soon after the start of the second half. Mart latched onto a blocked clearance and dunked the ball over the keeper. Tim was unlucky not to grab his 2nd of the game with a ccouple of shots on target. Blackpool hit the post after a Walshy save, but were soon back in the game after a fine strike from their striker. Albion saw the game out with solid performances all round with Martin, Tim and Dan standing out.
