Albion shared the spoils at a wet pit in Banteer this afternoon however will count themselves unlucky not to have won. The away side started well with some nice passing through midfield and used the wingers very well. Rob Daly looked lively up front and caused the defenders all sorts of problems every one he had the ball at his feet. Darren Daly started the game at right full and showed how quick he was adapting to the position with some good tackles. A Daly tackle led to him bursting forward and crossing the ball the find James just inside the area who flicked the ball with his first touch and turned to volley home. A definate contender for goal of the season. Japs and Conor were linking well on the left as was mart & Darren on the right. Banteer were back in the game with a fantastic goal from Albions Ger O Connell. He read the cross perfectly and used his head with a fantastic finish.
1-1 half time.
the second half was more of the same as Albion went 2-1 up through solo skill from Rob Daly who finished under the keeper at a right angle. Banteer were back in it when a kick out bobbled in midfield where the Banteer man was waiting, ran in and finished bottom left. Albion will count themselves unlucky after a few chances fell their way where they should have scored.
