Blackpool Cel 2-2 Albion

Blackpool & Albion played out a game with an identical scoreline to last seasons fixture. Blackpool opened the scoring within 2 minutes when a throw in wasn’t dealt with allowing them to take an easy 1-0 lead. Albion were on the back-foot and took 25 minutes to spring to life when Tim Harrington set up Martin El-sahen for a headed effort that went just over. 2 minutes later John Duggan burst through and won a penalty, Deccy Murray was unable to convert leaving the score at 1-0 at half time. Blackpool once again started the stronger of the two teams creating a few chances. Jamie Daly came closest for Albion but was denied after a good save from the Blackpool keeper. Blackpool went 2-0 up after a sloppy clearance from Martin Ryan with 15 minutes to go. The game looked dead & buried though Albion raised their game and got a goal back after a fine solo effort from Tim Harrington. 5 minutes later John Duggan played a great through ball to Harrington who got his 2nd to level the game. Albion almost walked away with 3 points when Duggan & Harrington found themselves in a 2 on 1 but the keeper saved well from Duggan. 2-2 final score.
