Ballinhassig B 1-3 Albion

Albion progressed to round 3 of the AOH Cup with a very convincing win over Ballinhassig B in Gortnaglough. A different looking side started the game for Albion who straight away took control of the game with Jonathan Quinn & John duggan holding the ball well in midfield and using wingers Jamie Daly & Rob Daly to their advantage. Albion played some great passing in the first half with the bak 4 holding well. The only time they were under pressure was from 3 corners in the opening 10mins. Tim Harrington & Rob Daly came close in the first half. The second half was pretty much the same story though Albion upped the attacking a lot more. Gavin Moloney replaced Martin El-sahen on 60 mins allowing John Duggan to partner Timmy up front. Within 10 mins Albion were 3-0 up with 2 goals from Duggan and 1 from Harrington, Duggans last goal the pick of the bunch with a fantastic low drilled effort into the corner. Duggan was called offside along with Harrington a few times and with the amount of chances Albion had the 3=0 score line was flattering to Ballinhassig. They did pull a goal back in ye last minute when their attacker tripped over himself and the ref awarded a penalty. 3-1 final score.
